were 2 errors discovered in the checkbook reducing the balance by
$236.20. Checkbook balance was corredted. There were two checks
issued to the WSHPA for $255.00 and $886.00 that were bounced by the
bank, creating an $8.00 service charge on 11/30/06.

- Several receipts were
not marked with the date paid or the check number issued to pay the

- Regional Director’s
Report by Steve Summerlin
- There has been a
proposal at the national level to increase the membership dues which
have not been increase since 1992. If this proposal passes at the
national level NHPA dues will increase from $12 to $17 per year
which will increase the WSHPA dues from $30 to $35.
-
A proposal to raise the
bids for the world tournament city or host clubs would increase from
$15,000 to $21,000.
-
To prevent confusion,
hosting tournament directors need to attend the tournament prior to
their scheduled tournament, or make arrangements to pick up there
sign-up sheets prior to their sponsored event.
- President’s
Memorandum, Ron Kohn
- The
Tournament Directors are a very critical part of the organization.
You should always present yourself in a professional manner and be
available to all current and new members for questions. Financial
reports and results should be sent out promptly to the
Secretary/Treasurer and Statistician respectively. The courts are
the “focal point” of the organization and should be
maintained in a proper condition with the appropriate amount of
shovels, watering cans and paint.
-
After checking several
state tournament schedules, I am proposing a move-up option for
Men’s Class B to play in the Men’s Class A Championship
Round at the State Tournament.
