State Championship Membership Meeting 9-5-98
Adrian, MI

        The meeting was called to order by president, Dave Loop at 9:10 P.M.

        The minutes of the of the spring meeting were read by Steve Summerlin.
Bob Mullenhour made motion to accept minutes as read. Seconded by Jim Wiltse.

        Marty Quillen, Treasurer, gave a financial report stating that there is $6051.73 in the general fund. Motion to accept from floor and seconded.

        Presidents memorandum: A donation of $100 is to be made to the NHPF in memory of Lee Jacobs this year and a donation of $50 per year each year hereafter.

        Proposals Read by Ron Kohn.

Proposal 1. Change the first sentence of Article VI:
                Tournaments Section 5 to read:
“The score keeping fee for all tournaments shall be $1.00 per player per game. Pitchers shall have the first opportunity to keep score.

Motion failed: YES 18 votes
                 NO 25 votes

Proposal 2. Change Article V: By-Laws Section 12 to add the following sentence to the end.
        “There shall be no more than 6 lifetime members of the WSHPA at any time.”

Motion passed: YES 38 votes
                 NO 1 vote

Election of officers:

Jim Wiltse nominated Dave Loop for President
No other nominations. Dave Accepted nomination and remained President.

Nominations for Vice President:
Paula Summerlin
Ron Kohn
Dan Markley
Bob Mullenhour

Ron Kohn declined nomination.
Voting for vice presidents. Paula was automatically elected according to WSHPA constitution article which states that one vice president must be a woman.

Vote held between Dan Markley and Bob Mullenhour.
Dan was elected receiving 33 votes

2^nd voting occurred to determine position of 1^st and 2^nd VP.
Paula received 28 votes and was elected 1^st Vice President
Dan receiving 14 votes and thus was elected 2^nd Vice President

Meeting was Adjourned at 10:03 P.M.
