Minutes of Spring Meeting, March 25, 2001

 

Meeting was called to order at 1:00 p.m. by President, Dave Loop.

 

Minutes of previous meeting were read by Secretary, Steve Summerlin.

Motion to accept minutes as read by Ron Kohn – seconded by Dan Markley

 

Financial report was given by Treasurer, Marty Quillen.

Current Balance in account is $5583.90 and stated that a full report had been published in the last issue of the Ringer Report

 

Membership Chair, Steve Summerlin reported that the adult membership over the past two years has gone unchanged,  a few new faces but the numbers remained the same.

 

Steve Summerlin, NHPA Regional Director, reminded all that the World Tournament this year is really not that far away and everyone should try to attend, entry form has been in the Ringer Report and the deadline is May 17^th

            Reminder

            Send out your news reports about your local events

            Put out flyers wherever you can to get information out to would be members

            NHPF – send your donations in.  A $500 donation by you or your club will get your name placed on a plaque that will be put in the NHPA hall of fame

            Purchase a copy of Newsline for your local library so they have information pertaining to horseshoes pitching as it is today.

 

Daves memorandum

            Each club MUST be represented at the meetings, as there are always supplies and information that must be passed on to you that is necessary for you to run tournaments throughout the year

            St Judes donations for last year were $821.11 which is lower than in past years,  we can do better.  Lincoln Park’s tournament in June officially kicks off the St Judes fundraising for the year, but you can do it all year long.
