Dean started pitching in the Association in 1960.He was a class B & C pitcher averaging 45-50% Dean served as the WSHPA President in 1970-71. He won 2nd place in class B-2 in the state tournament in 1972. He was a great promoter/organizer in the Hillsdale area and was the tournament director for the Hillsdale fair tournament. He has pitched in world tournaments and served as a delegate to the convention. Dean was an entertainer, he played the guitar with Jim Ostrander and they entertained all the pitchers who stayed over night at different tournament sites in the good old days. He has passed away and is sadly missed by all who knew him. |
