Bob Started pitching in the WSHPA in 1971.
He was instrumental in building the courts at the Jackson CountyBob Wells Horseshoe Club and was the club president.
He resided in Jackson at the time.

Bob served as a WSHPA vice president in 1987-88.
He was the newsletter ("Ringer Report") editor for four years.
He served as the NHPA Regional Director 1987 through 1989.
He is currently Audit and Finance Chairperson. (2004)
He served on several committees as a chairman as well as a member. He also served on the board of directors.

Bob has pitch in many world tournaments and served as a delegate to the national convention.
As Regional Director he lectured throughout the state on building courts and starting leagues and tournaments.
He pitched in many state and district tournaments.
He won class B-1 in the State Championships of 1985.

His wife Trudy was also a pitcher and his daughter Shelley won the girls state championship title 3 times.
