Dave started pitching in 1982.

Dave joined the NHPA and WSHPA in 1982

Dave is a Charter member of the River Raisin Horseshoe Club. He was part of the planning of the club and helped with the building of the club.

Dave has held most all the offices of the River Raisin Club including President, Vice President, Secretary, Treasurer and Tournament Director. He also has done much of the Publicity work.

While doing all this local club work, Dave was WSHPA Vice President for 6 years and WSHPA President for six years. He was appointed WSHPA Publicity Director in 2004.

Dave was instrumental in scheduling the State Tournament at Adrian. Adrian held the State Tournament 8 times, one stretch of 4 years in a row.

Dave conducted the Lenawee County Fair Tournament for 8 years.

The Michigan- Ontario Friendship Tournament was held at Adrian while Dave was president.

Dave has attended most of the state tournaments and was a 1st place class champion in 1990. He was also a 1st place class champion in the state doubles. Dave also has two second place finishes in state class play.

Dave is now coordinating the move to the Lenawee Conservation Club. He plans to build 19 courts and hold the State Tournament at a future date.

Update August 2004: The River Raisin Club has completed building 12 courts and hosted their first tournament in 3 years in 2004 thanks to a grant from the NHPF for funding and the hard work of Dave and his club members.
