Lee was elected to the NHPA Hall of Fame on July 29th, 1984.

Lee was a six time runner up to the state champion. 1928-30-32-36-46-50.

Lee set an all time high record of 2032 shoes pitched in a state tournament in Flint, MI in 1940.

Started pitching in 1920, at the age of 14.
Entered first official tournament in 1923 in Cincinnati Ohio - run by the Cincinnati Post.

First Michigan state tournament in Detroit in 1925, and with only one exception have been in every one since, 59 overall.

Won the title in 1933, 1944 and 1955.

He later won the Elders class B Championship in 1989, 90 and 91
Took the National AAU championship in 1944

Was Greater Detroit champion 7 times, five times in succession.
Was captain of the official World championship team in 1940.
Pitched in first world tournament at Duluth in 1927 and have been in the following world meets:

Was elected 2nd Vice-President of the Michigan Association in 1928.
Became Sec - Treas. of the WSHPA in 1935, and held the office for 25 consecutive years.

Later, was elected 1st Vice-President and eventually President.

Lee Jacobs In 1939, was elected Secretary-Treasurer of the NHPA and while in office compiled and partly wrote a book called the "Horseshoe Compendium."

Elected to Michigan Amateur Athletics Hall of Fame.

Manufactured and distributed the 'Lattore' horseshoes from 1946 till 1998

Life Time member of the WHSPA to remain on active roles forever.
