DUANE GILLIN Blissfield, MI Duane has been a member of the state association for over 40 years.He served as State Secretary in 1971-73 Served as vice president in 1976 Duane with Fred Smith Sr and Merv Lichty from Ontario got together and formed the annual Michigan/Ontario Friendship tournament in 1972. He won the Seniors Class B title in 1993 and Class C in 1998. He has served as chairman of the Hall of Fame Committee, Audit and Finance Committe and others, as well as a member of several committees. He has pitched in several world tournaments and was a delegate as well. In 1971 he won the class B title in the Water Wonderland Open. 
Duane was instrumental in forming the River Raisin Horseshoe Club and acted as president of the club.He is a great promoter and a great competitor, one of our dedicated members. The River Raisin Club has hosted the Annual Don Kaiser, Bob Sibson, Dike Cowell Memorial Tournament. |
