Congratulations! Judy
Curtiss 1990 State
Horseshoe Champion

She does it again! From working at K-mart, to doing crafts, she also finds time to pitch horseshoes. And has been State Champ twice, once in 1988 and again in 1990.

Judy started this sport in 1983 as a hobby that her and her husband, Max could do together. They started pitching in their backyard, then went to Shepherd Horseshoe Club,
then onto M-46 Horseshoe Club and also to the Wolverine Horseshoe Pitching Association. So you can imagine what their schedule is like.

They're on the road just about every weekend, from the end of April thru the middle of September.

'Who coaches her, well you have to give her husband the credit, if she doesn't pitch the right way, he gives her some advice and off she goes to do her best.

So by now she has added some trophies, clocks, plaques and even money to her collection. She is very proud of her accomplishments.

Judy says, "I really enjoy the sport and its good exercise too. The weather gets warm but I go out and do the best I can.

She was State Champ in 1988, couldn't make it in 1989, but she came back in 1990 to defend her championship and wins once again!

Congratulations Mom, we're proud of you and keep it up!!!!!
