Curtiss Is Michigan State Ladies
Horseshoe Champion
    Judy Curtiss of Blanchard won the WHSPA Ladies State Championship for the 7th time. She won all of her games over 2 days to win the Championship, finishing over all with a 77.71 % which broke the state record of 72.7%. She had one terrific game of 19 ringers out of 20 shoes which was a 95% which also was a state record. This WHSPA Club is all cancellation.


    Judy also pitches in the M-46 Association which is a handicap league. She had 7 games out of 10 with 40 ringers or more out of 50 shoes to put her in the finals, where she took 2nd place ending with 74%. She was also entered in the M46 Hall of Fame.


    In Greenville, Ohio where the World Tournament was held, Judy finished 9th, ending with a 72.67%. This year has been the

best year ever. Judy says she has to give a lot of credit to her husband and coach. He gives her a lot of pointers to help her along. It takes a lot of practice and concentration.
