Judy started pitching in a small club at Shepherd in 1982. Her husband Max got her started. Judy joined the WSHPA in 1984, she won Class B in her first year. She was the most improved pitcher in 1985. Her first state championship was in 1988 and since then has won the championship thirteen times. She won in 1988,1990,91,93,95,98,99,2000, 01, 02, 03, 04, 05, 2006. Her 81.5% in the 2000 state tournament set a new record. She also holds the high game percentage record set in 1999 of 95%.

Judy started pitching in the World Tournaments in 1997.

Judy also pitches in Arizona in the winter time. In 2000 she pitched in the Quartzsite main event and placed first with a 76.2 ringer percentage. She also pitched in the Cool Down event and placed 2nd with 77.5% She pitched in the Valley of the Sun event at Meza, placed 2nd with 73.39
She pitched in the Lost Dutchman event, placed 2nd with 71.6
She has also pitched in Yuma

Judy is a very dedicated pitcher and seems to improve as she goes along.

Judy told me at the State Tournament that in tournaments and practice that she pitches 20,000 shoes a year.

She may be pitching toward a World Championship
