Ed Blum Memorial Award - History

 

 

Ed Blum was one of the most avid horseshoe pitchers to ever grace the courts here in Western Pennsylvania.  Quick witted, and full of love for this great sport, Ed would travel the state, region, and country pitching horseshoes in as many tournaments as he could.

 

After he passed away in October of 1999, the Western Pennsylvania Horseshoe Pitchers Association created The Ed Blum Memorial Award.  Every year, this award is given out to the one person who pitches in the most tournaments on the WPHPA schedule.  Here are the past winners.
