Nevada State Horseshoe Pitching Association 2009 Annual Meeting

President Chad Hyatt opened the meeting by thanking all the participants
Sponsors and volunteer help.
The financial report was discussed ( bank statement & itemized check listing) A motion was made to accept the bank statement seconded, voted on and accepted.
Elections = Due to the resignation in 2008 all officers where up for election the same Year. Frank Mercadante was re-elected as southern vice president for 2010 & 2011.
See/treas = Tom McQueen currently holding that position would like to step down due to medical reasons. President Chad Hyatt had discussed the situation with Charlie Washburn and Charlie said he would accept the position. A motion was made to elect Charlie Washburn as sec/treas seconded, voted on and accepted. 2010 & 2011
Chad Hyatt discussed the Atomic Scenic Inn in Beatty possibly building some horseshoe courts and having tournaments in Beatty again. Every one hoped it will work out. Chad has also talked to a major casino in Las Vegas about sponsoring a w orld Tournament in the year 2012. (hope so) Good going Chad.
2010 state tournament was discussed and decided it would be the weekend before Labor Day and would be held in Tonopah Nevada. A motion was made to have the Nevada State horseshoe pitching championships and annual meeting in Tonopah Nevada Au. gust 28th 2010. Seconded, voted on and accepted.
Pre-registration for the 2010 NV state championships will close Tuesday August 24lh
Vigil Birgen made a motion to adjourn the meeting it was seconded, voted on and the meeting was adjourned.
We had 34 members enter the state tournament and 34 members showed up. A special thanks to the ones that came. If you were not there you missed a good one,
2009 w e had 101 members (99) adults (1) junior and (1) junior cadet. Thanks everyone for being part of a great organization.
