Kohn called the meeting to order at 1:00 p.m.
Minutes
for the September 4, 2010 fall meeting read by Roger Higgins. Motion
to approve minutes by Pat Card; Becky Sullivan seconded.

Hall
of Fame Chairperson, Dewey Howard reported; the Hall of Fame meeting
will be in Kalamazoo at the Friendship Tournament.
Publicity
Chair, Mark Wolffradt; the City of Romulus has closed the Elmer
Johnson Park. The Romulus Tournament has moved to Taylor.
Audit
and Finance, Bob Wells not in attendance; Mark Wolffradt gave the
report, all receipts were in order.
Regional
Director’s Report given by Steve Summerlin, Kevin Smith has
worked though the winter on indoor courts in Oak Park; it is The
Greater Detroit Horseshoe Club. They have seven courts that are
raised courts like at the world tournament. They will have leagues
and host some indoor tournaments. The courts are sanctioned. The
World Tournament is coming up in Monroe - West Monroe, LA. Room
rates are cheaper than they have been in years. All court
sanctioning from the past are gone. The N.H.P.A. has requested that
all courts to be sanctioned again.
Ron
Kohn reported; the state tournament is in Lansing. As information
becomes available it will be posted in the Ringer Report. Court
Etiquette when pitching; always walk behind the court after your
opponent has pitched both their shoes, and walk around the front of
the court after you have finished pitching both your shoes.
No
Unfinished Business
New
business; 2011 State Tournament is in Lansing. Fall election of
officers is Secretary/Treasurer and 1st
Vice President.
St
Judes Chairperson; Keith Schafer; the final figure for 2010 is
$5,469.30. Keith will be sending in 2011 pledges in the month of
June.
Motion
to adjourn the meeting made by Pat Card and seconded By Dewey
Howard.
