State Membership Meeting September 2, 2000 Meeting called to order by Dave Loop, President at 7:35 p.m. Minutes from the 2000 Spring meeting were read by Steve Summerlin Motion to accept as read by John Decker, seconded by Judy. Financial report given by Marty Quillen, current balance is $6215.87 Membership report by Steve Summerlin, Chair stated that little or no change in membership for 2000 although junior membership is smaller. No Unfinished business Proposals read by Paula Summerlin Proposal 1 In Article VI: Tournaments add this new section. If first place in any class is won by a junior, they shall receive a trophy and the tournament/class championship patch. Trophies are to be donated or paid for out of the general fund. Proposal passed : Unanimous Proposal II Regarding the Junior Trust Fund was tabled until research could be done on the legalities of such a fund. Proposal III Add to Article VII: State Tournament was amended to read as follows prior to final vote; Each year a junior boys and junior girls championship division winner will be declared . Proposal passed by a vote of 28 yes and 2 no. Election of officers Nominated for President Dave Loop accepted nomination Ron Kohn – declined nomination Bob Wells - declined nomination Dave Loop declared president by acclamation Vice President Nominations Dan Markley rcvd 33 votes, becomes 1st VP Paula Summerlin rcvd 24 votes, becomes 2nd VP Connie Quillen rcvd 21 votes Motion to adjourn by Bill Hoblet, seconded by Rod Garlick.
