IRENE OSTRANDER Jackson, MI
Irene was a WSHPA member for many years, she was the wife of James Ostrander.Irene won the class B title in the 1971 Water Wonderland tournament. She was Class B state champion in 1971 1972 she captured the number four position in the ladies class A division. Irene won the Ladies State Championship title in 1973. She won the Class D world title the same year in Eureka California. In 1974 she finished 2nd in the ladies state championship class. Irene was a member of the WSHPA Ladies Auxiliary for many years. She served as the state 2nd vice president in 1971-72. After her husband passed away in 1977, she donated money to the Chief Okemos Club for a memorial court to be built in his honor. Irene was a class A champion and a dedicated member, she attended many world tournaments with her husband and son James Jr. |
