JOE HOLLAND Lake Orion, MIJoe was a member of the WSHPA for many years. He helped form the Lake Orion Club. He was president of that club and worked to maintain the courts>  Joe was a class A pitcher and won many district tournaments.His best finish in a state tournament was a 3rd place tie with Stan Swarthout, He had a 66.54% over Stans' 66.53 in 1978. In 1978 Joe placed 2nd in Sr Class A in the World tournament. Joe served on the executive board and served on several committees. He was a promoter of horseshoes in Michigan and later in Clear Water Florida, where he was instrumental in building the Clear Water courts. Joe was always will to weld anybodies broken shoes. He designed the Carl Stienfeldt Sta-On shoe.
