IRWIN CARLBERG Grand Rapids, MI Irwin started pitching in 1930. He won the State Championship in 1956 and was Runner-up in 1947, 48 and 54. Pitched in 3 world tournaments. Secretary of the WSHPA 1959-62 President of the WSHPA 1948-49 He was awarded the Arch Stokes Memorial Award by the NHPA in 1965. He lived in Washington DC before coming to Michigan and was a class A pitcher there winning the District title in 1942, had a high percentage game of 84%. Served on several committees.
