Club Information Our league is for 15 weeks starting the first week of May. You must pitch at least 10 weeks to receive points monies. Game Format 3 players per court. Players play each other twice, with 3rd player keeping score. Rotation is defined on scoresheet. Player 1st on the scoresheet for a game goes 1st. Then play is alternate pitch. Games are 40 SHOES per player, using "Count-All" format. Scoring A players game score equals the number of points pitched plus handicap. (Points+Handicap) A 90% handicap will be used. A players handicap equals (120 - players average score to date) .9 A players handicap from last years league will be used for the FIRST night of league play. New players will establish a handicap with the first night's games. 1 point is awarded for a WIN. 1/2 point is awarded for a tie. No points awarded for a loss. Win/Loss percentage is used to determine standings. (Total Points / Total # of games pitched) "A player Average", then "% Ringers" will be used to determine standings if there is a tie in "win / loss %". In addition to our league we also put on horseshoe tournaments for corporate picnics or family reunions, or any event that wishes to include the game of horseshoes in their activities. Will be hosting Sanctioned Tournaments which requires membership into the NHPA and WSHPA (Wolverine State Horseshoe Pitcher Association) Events are scheduled for: June 10 & 11, 2006 For additional Tournament play around the state see the WSHPA schedule
