SCHPA Historical Highlights

Here's a little history from the 1980 World Invitational Horseshoe Pitching Tournament, Los Angeles County Fair. The complete results of this 3-day tourney are shown. But it was the last game of the finals held on the 3rd day between Ralph Simon and Walter Ray Williams that has been called "One of The Greatest Horseshoe Games Ever" that we want to point out. This 50-point game had 176 shoes pitched and was won by Walter Ray Williams with 92.0% ringers while Ralph Simon had 88.6% ringers. Click the link to view the score sheet from this game
