HOPE PROCEDURES FOR TOURNAMENTS

2011-2012 Season

ENTRY FEES: Adults $20.00 Junior’s $5.00

PLEASE SEND CHECK with entry (Entries must be in director’s hand by deadline if you mail on deadline please call director to inform him you are mailing on deadline and you will be entered.

Any entry received after deadline will be placed on waiting list in case of dropouts)

If a pitcher can not make scheduled pitching time their fee will be returned provided they inform the Director prior to tournament (At the least three days prior & provided director gets replacement)

All tournaments have a 10 day DEADLINE Tournaments DEADLINE 3:00 PM ON DAY OF DEADLINE All tournaments are set up at 3:00 PM on day of deadline. ANY ENTRIES RECEIVED AFTER 3:00PM ON DEADLINE PLACED ON WAITING LIST IN CASE OF DROPOUTS.

HOPE Entry cards available from the director at all tournaments

HOPE has a Plate & Plaque Program (Winter Tournaments Only)

(Plaque or Plate for 1^ST & 2^ND in All Classes)

All are NHPA Sanctioned all pitchers must have current NHPA card

(Also all pacers who will fill in at any tournament must carry an NHPA card)

All Classes Payouts (Adults only) Juniors Receive No Prize Money

1^ST Place $40.00 2^ND Place $25.00

1^ST Place *only in 4 or 5 Person Classes ($40.00)

(Depending on entries some classes maybe comprised of LESS than 6* person)

Duffy’s Pop & Beer Point Challenge (No Money is required to enter point challenge)

Thanks To Duffy’s HOPE Horseshoe Club Will Hold a Point Challenge through the winter season

Points Awarded in each tournament 10 for 1^st 9 for 2^nd 8 for 3^rd 7 for 4th 6 for 5^th 5 for 6^th

Any Ties for positions split prize money for that position.

Top 10 Positions will be awarded prize money at the end of the season in April

(As the saying goes the check is in the mail after the last tournament in April)

1^ST Pitch 1^ST Game All Classes Pitch One Ringer Receive $1.00 Double $3.00

Pitch a Perfect Game any Class Receive $100.00 (It Has Been Done)

(Game must be against a scheduled pitcher in your class (No Pacers)

All Classes All Tournaments Have Different Records

If You Break Any Record $5.00 for Breaking Record

If You Break Any Hi Game Record in Any Class Receive a HOPE Pin for that Game

Highest Game Award for Year the Judge John G Brosky Memorial Hi Game Award

Highest Games pitched for the year in all classes held at HOPE will receive money for that game

If you break any HI % record for the day in any class receive $1.00 for each point over old record

All Classes with less than 4 pitchers 35.00% or above will pitch 30 Point Games

Playoff for 1^ST place same game played in your round robin

Three or more tied for first will be step ladder with the hi % for the round robin sitting out

(This gives the pitcher who has pitched the best in the round robin at least 2^nd place if they would lose their game when they pitch)

All Other ties for 2^nd place will be decided by ringer % pitched in round robin

If you refuse to pitch in a playoff for first place you will not be included

In any prize money you must finish the playoff’s to be awarded any prize money

At all tournaments all cell phones MUST BE TURN OFF Please no cell phones on the courts
